Does love help you to live longer? What a great question! Statistics indicate that happily married people live as much as five years longer than unmarried persons, with the results being somewhat more pronounced in married men. As it is so subjective, it is impossible to accurately assess love by using data derived from studies. However, with a rapid scan of the information, it seems quite safe to assume that love makes you live longer.

Everybody agrees that being loved is a great experience, and if love makes you live longer, then it seems logical that we all should love someone. Knowing that somebody is concerned about us is hard to explain in words, but it sure feels great! Shucks, I wouldn't be surprised if you smiled a little bit just now, thinking about the folks that care for you. And although true love for someone doesn't mean that they must love you back, I bet you only give love to those who love you most of all.

Let's be rational for a moment, shall we? Love may not save you from getting hit by a car when crossing the street, however it can help with recuperation from such an accident faster. Even though it hasn't been proven that love helps you live longer, I know I would rather have a few short years of cherishing someone, rather than having several lifetimes without any love at all.

There are two basic ways to employ love to boost the quality of life. One is to show love to others. That not only includes family and friends, but everyone you deal with on a daily basis. The second way can be a little trickier for some, and that is to permit others to love you. And bear in mind, love makes you live longer, so get out there and love someone right now.
