burn the mattress lol but find out in your area if anyone has a pond they want to clean. Springs are good for draging across ponds and getting rid of a lot of the weeds that grow in them. The springs do one great job of cleaning ponds.

You can try finding someone who wants it by going to and listing it on your local freecycle group. Smoeone may want it for a dog bed, be in desperate need of a mattress, or have any sort of creative use for a free mattress.

Call your local trash collector. They probably have special days to pick up stuff like that.
